The project was conceived by the pianist and singer-songwriter Katerina L'dokova, who blends traditional Belarusian melodies with jazz harmony, classical music approaches, and contemporary styles. Her ultimate dream is to unveil the universal values that resonate in traditional songs from around the world.<\/p>\n

KATERINA L\u2019DOKOVA<\/h2>\n

Katerina L\u2019dokova is a pianist, composer, singer-songwriter, and educator hailing from Belarus and Portugal. Her artistry has been described by Vogue magazine as \"Katerina L\u2019dokova sings small pieces of light\".<\/p>\n

\"MOVA DREVA\", intertwines traditional melodies from Belarus with influences from Jazz, classical, and contemporary music. As highlighted by Jazz.pt, \"Attentive listening to Mova Dreva leads us to a mystery about ourselves, our inner selves, our relationship with the land, simultaneously giving us a sense of encounter and belonging.\"<\/p>\n

The Mova Dreva quartet has graced numerous festivals in Portugal, with performances at venues such as Casa da M\u00fasica, Hot Club, Porta Jazz, Sal\u00e3o Brasil, as well as theaters in Guarda, Vila Real, and Estarreja.<\/p>\n

In addition to her work with \"Mova Dreva\", in 2016, Katerina recorded the album \"Ledok\", featuring original music for European traditional dances. In 2019, she released \"Travessia\", a composition and arrangement project celebrating Portuguese music and poetry.<\/p>\n

Katerina collaborates with Nuno Cintr\u00e3o on musical projects dedicated to children, having performed at various festivals, including CCB and Gulbenkian.<\/p>\n

Katerina has been part of projects showcased at the Festival M\u00fasicas do Mundo in Sines, Mar\u00e9 de Agosto on the island of Santa Maria, as well as festivals in Canada, Portugal, Brazil, Sweden, Spain, France, and India.<\/p>\n

A co-founder of the \"Prol\u00edficas\" collective, Katerina is dedicated to promoting female composition and is currently organizing the second festival with this focus on the island of S\u00e3o Miguel. Additionally, she hosts podcasts about Eastern European music for R\u00e1dio Olisipo.<\/p>\n
