Travessia

O projeto Travessia surge de uma simples vontade de repensar a poesia e a música de raiz portuguesa. Talvez tenha sido um caminho de transformação de algo longínquo para algo de que sou tecida hoje.
The idea came as a natural consequence of close experience and immersion in Portuguese culture.

The Portuguese language has a vast home spread across the world, it is a language closely tied to journeys - and perhaps that's where so much "saudade" comes from. Starting from Portuguese and Portugal, building bridges and crossings with other places and sounds, this project creates and reinterprets music, sometimes folk, sometimes classical, and at times, both.

The track "Jangada" that opens the album is dedicated to the sea and the quest we embark on to find ourselves, meandering in our little boat with the hope of finding a good course.
